Finance faculty to publish paper

Ruilin Tian, assistant professor of finance, recently had the paper, “The Securitization of Longevity Risk and its Implications for Retirement Security,” accepted for publication in the Pension Research Council book, “Recreating Sustainable Retirement: Extreme Risk and Pension Security.” The book will be published by Oxford University Press and released later this year.

The paper was co-written with Richard MacMinn of Illinois State University, Patrick Brockett of University of Texas at Austin, Jennifer Wang of National Chengchi University and Yijia Lin of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

The Pension Research Council of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania generates debate on key policy issues affecting pensions and other employee benefits. It sponsors interdisciplinary research on private pension and social security programs, as well as related benefit plans in the United States and around the world.
