'Mommy, Me and SWE' session scheduled

SHARE

Registration is open for the fall session of "Mommy, Me and SWE," a program for girls in kindergarten through second grade and their mothers. The one-day event is scheduled Saturday, Nov. 14, from 8 a.m. until noon.

Young girls learn about the STEM fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics by participating in hands-on activities and projects with their moms. At the end of the session, girls complete a project while their mothers learn how to encourage their daughters to continue to pursue interests in STEM.

The program is sponsored by the student chapter of the Society of Women Engineers and the College of Engineering.

Cost is $5 per person ($10 for a mom and one daughter or $15 for a mom and two daughters). To register, visit here and click on "Mommy, Me and SWE."
