College of Business to host financial markets conference

The NDSU College of Business is set to host “Navigating the Financial Markets,” Thursday, April 5, from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Richard H. Barry Hall auditorium.

The event features a panel of noted investment specialists who will share insights about the economy and markets, and how to garner relative value in uncertain times.

Students, faculty, staff and the public are invited. The event is free to attend, however, registration is required.

Scott Beaulier, dean of the College of Business, will moderate the event. The panel includes the following:

·      Mark Wright, senior vice president and director of research, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis

·      Ron Kaliebe, senior vice president and director of fixed income, Mairs and Power, Inc., St. Paul, Minnesota

·      Nick Hansen, portfolio manager, Disciplined Growth Investors, Minneapolis

The event is cohosted by NDSU’s student-led Bison Fund and the CFA Society of Minnesota.
