Bison named to Summit League Baseball All-Academic Team

The NDSU baseball team led the Summit League with four selections on the 2022 All-Academic Team, the league office announced June 14.

Brock Anderson, Peter Brookshaw, Cade Feeney and Tristen Roehrich earned a spot on the team for the first time in their careers.

Anderson, from Alexandria, Minnesota, has a 3.75 GPA in business and was named to the All-Summit League Second team earlier this season.

Brookshaw has a 3.44 GPA in business and also earned a spot on the All-Summit League Second Team earlier this year. The Prescott, Wisconsin, native led the Bison in RBI (46) and runs (36).

Feeney has a 3.66 GPA in business and started 14 games on the mound for the Bison. The Bismarck, North Dakota, native posted a 7-3 overall record.

Roehrich has a 3.80 GPA in business. He made 15 appearances on the mound this season with a 5-2 overall record. The West Fargo, North Dakota, native contributed a career-high six saves.

To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30, completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50% of their team's competitions, except pitchers who must have participated in 20% of their team's total contests.

Nominations are made by sports information directors from the league's participating members, and voting is conducted by both SIDs and faculty athletic representatives. The teams are made up of 10 student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
