NDSU women’s golf earns fifth-best GPA in Division I

The NDSU women’s golf team earned the fifth-best team grade-point average in NCAA Division I during the 2021-2022 season, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association announced July 20.

The Bison posted a 3.86 cumulative GPA and were ranked fifth in all of Division I under the direction of head coach Matt Johnson. New Mexico earned the top spot with a 3.96 GPA. Bellarmine was second with a 3.90 GPA and Mississippi rounded out the top three with a 3.89 GPA.

Earlier this month, Lexi Geolat, Catherine Monty, Leah Skaar, Elise Hoven, Maddie Herzog, and Jo Baranczyk were named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team, which recognizes student-athletes with at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
