NDSU Chamber Music Festival to begin Aug. 25

The Challey School of Music is scheduled to host the NDSU Chamber Music Festival Aug. 25-30, welcoming musicians from around the country and community to perform alongside NDSU piano students. All performances will be free to the public. 

Three of the concerts are set for Beckwith Recital Hall at the Reineke Fine Arts Center, starting at 7:30 p.m., while the Plains Art Museum is scheduled to host a lunchtime performance on the final day of the festival.

Guest artists include violinists Grace Park and Sonja Bosca-Harasim, and cellist Meta Weiss. NDSU alumna and mezzo-soprano Clara Osowski is set to perform, accompanied by festival director and Challey School of Music associate professor of piano Tyler Wottrich.

In addition to the world-class performances by guest artists at the Chamber Music Festival, the festival offers NDSU piano students the opportunity to accompany virtuoso musicians.

The NDSU Chamber Music Festival is in its seventh year at the Challey School of Music and is organized by Wottrich. A Minnesota native, Wottrich has held residencies at the Juilliard School and Carnegie Hall, among other distinguished accomplishments.
