Your Guide to Getting Here: 2025 Move-In Day

Before you hit the road, make sure you’re headed in the right direction! To help make your move-in experience as smooth and stress-free as possible, we’ve outlined step-by-step driving directions to each residence hall. Whether you’re coming from the north, south, east, or west, these instructions will guide you directly to your hall’s unloading zone and designated parking areas. Please review the directions for your specific hall before you arrive — and welcome home!

What to Know Before Driving to Campus

Arrival Time

Each building has very specific directions that will help you get to your hall's unloading area.

To help the flow of traffic, do not leave your car unattended in drop-off zones; unload, then move your vehicle to your assigned parking lot. Parking lots will not be ticketed on Saturday, August 24.

Please note that you are expected to arrive anytime within your 30-minute move-in day timeslot; you are not expected to completely move in your belongings during that time frame. If you are early or late, no worries. You do not need to contact us. Simply arrive when you can.

In August, you will receive a welcome letter from Residence Life. Inside that letter will be a colored piece of paper with your residence hall name on it. Please write your cell phone number on the front where indicated, and place the sign on the driver's side car dashboard. If you misplaced that item or need another one for multiple vehicles, you can print one below.

Burgum

From the North or South (I-29)

  1. Exit east on 12th Ave. N. (Exit 66)
  2. Using the right lane, continue East on 12th Ave. N. just beyond College St.
  3. Turn left into the Burgum Hall parking loop

From the East or West (I-94)

  1. Exit north onto to I-29 North (Exit 349B)
  2. Follow the directions above.
After unloading, please park in the following lot/s: T Lot

Cater

From the North or South (I-29)

  1. Exit east on 19th Ave. N. (Exit 67)
  2. Continue east on 19th Ave. N. until 18th St. N.
  3. Turn right on 18th St. N.
  4. Turn left on 15th Ave. N.
  5. Turn right on 17th St.
  6. Turn left into the HR parking lot and pull up to Cater

From the East or West (I-94)

  1. Exit north onto I-29 North (Exit 349B)
  2. Follow the directions above.
After unloading, please park in the following lot/s: HR or FA Lots

Churchill

From the North or South (I-29)

  1. Exit east on 12th Ave. N. (Exit 66)
  2. Using the left lane, continue east on 12th Ave. N. until 18th St. N.
  3. Turn left on 18th St. N.
  4. Turn right on Centennial Blvd.
  5. Continue east on Centennial Blvd. through two stop signs. Churchill will be on the right.

From the East or West (I-94)

  1. Exit north onto I-29 North (Exit 349B)
  2. Follow the directions above.
After unloading, please park in the following lot/s: AD, RE or IFC Lots

Dinan

From the North or South (I-29)

  1. Exit east on 19th Ave. N. (Exit 67)
  2. Continue east on 19th Ave. N. to University Dr.
  3. Turn right on University Drive North.
  4. At 13th Ave. N., turn right into the bus loop. Dinan will be in front of you.

From the East or West (I-94)

Exit north onto I-29 North (Exit 349B)
Follow the directions above.

After unloading, please park in the following lot/s: AD or MU Lots

Johnson

From the North or South (I-29)

  1. Exit east on 12th Ave. N. (Exit 66)
  2. Using the right lane, continue east on 12th Ave. N. until Albrecht Blvd.
  3. Turn left on Albrecht Blvd.
  4. Go straight through the roundabout.
  5. Drive past two stop signs; Johnson will be on your right.

From the East or West (I-94)

  1. Exit north onto I-29 North (Exit 349B)
  2. Follow the directions above.
After unloading, please park in the following lot/s: R Lot

Mathew Living Learning Center East/West

From the North or South (I-29)

  1. Exit east on 12th Ave. N. (Exit 66)
  2. Using the left lane, continue east on 12th Ave. N. until 18th St. N.
  3. Turn left on 18th St. N.
  4. Turn right on 17th Ave. N.
  5. Take the next right into the FA parking lot. MLLC will be in front of you.

From the East or West (I-94)

  1. Exit north onto I-29 North (Exit 349B)
  2. Follow the directions above.
After unloading, please park in the following lot/s: FA Lot

Niskanen Hall

From the North or South (I-29)

  1. Exit east on 19th Ave. N. (Exit 67)
  2. Continue east on 19th Ave. N. until University Drive N
  3. Turn right on University Drive N
  4. Turn left into the second parking lot; Niskanen will be on your left.

From the East or West (I-94)

  1. Exit north onto I-29 North (Exit 349B)
  2. Follow the directions above.
After unloading, please park in the following lot/s: UVS Lot

Pavek

From the North or South (I-29)

  1. Exit east on 12th Ave. N. (Exit 66)
  2. Using the right lane, continue east on 12th Ave. N.
  3. Turn left on Bolley Dr and go through one stop sign.
  4. Pavek will be at the end of Bolley Dr. on your left.

From the East or West (I-94)

  1. Exit north onto I-29 North (Exit 349B)
  2. Follow the directions above.
After unloading, please park in the following lot/s: T Lot

Reed

From the North or South (I-29)

  1. Exit east on 19th Ave. N. (Exit 67)
  2. Continue east on 19th Ave. N.
  3. Turn right on University Dr. N.
  4. Continue south on University Dr. to 15th Ave. N.
  5. Turn right on 15th Ave. N. (one-way west).
  6. Using the right lane, cross 14th St. N. and park along the south side of the road. Reed will be on your left.

From the East or West (I-94)

  1. Exit north onto I-29 North (Exit 349B)
  2. Follow the directions above.
After unloading, please park in the following lot/s: R Lot

Sevrinson

From the North or South (I-29)

  1. Exit east on 19th Ave. N. (Exit 67)
  2. Continue east on 19th Ave. N. until 18th St. N.
  3. Turn right on 18th St. N.
  4. Turn left on 15th Ave. N.
  5. Continue east on 15th Ave. N. to the unloading zone. Sevrinson will be on your right.

From the East or West (I-94)

  1. Exit north onto I-29 North (Exit 349B)
  2. Follow the directions above.
After unloading, please park in the following lot/s: R Lot

Stockbridge

From the North or South (I-29)

  1. Exit east on 19th Ave. N. (Exit 67)
  2. Continue east on 19th Ave. N.
  3. Turn right on University Dr. N.
  4. Continue south on University Dr. to Centennial Blvd.
  5. Turn right on Centennial Blvd.
  6. Take the immediate next right onto College St. and follow into the Stockbridge parking lot. Stockbridge will be on your right.

From the East or West (I-94)

  1. Exit north onto I-29 North (Exit 349B)
  2. Follow the directions above.
After unloading, please park in the following lot/s: RE Lot

Thompson

From the North or South (I-29)

  1. Exit east on 19th Ave. N. (Exit 67)
  2. Turn right onto Albrecht Blvd.
  3. Go through two stop signs.
  4. Thompson Hall will be on your right.

From the East or West (I-94)

  1. Exit north onto I-29 North (Exit 349B)
  2. Follow the directions above.
After unloading, please park in the following lot/s: T Lot

North Weible

From the North or South (I-29)

  1. Exit east on 19th Ave. N. (Exit 67)
  2. Turn right on University Dr. N.
  3. Turn right on 15th Ave. N. (one-way west).
  4. Using the left lane, take the second left into the loop just past 14th St. N.
  5. Pull up to the north door of Weible Hall, just past Reed Hall.

From the East or West (I-94)

  1. Exit north onto I-29 North (Exit 349B)
  2. Follow the directions above.
After unloading, please park in the following lot/s: RE Lot

South Weible

From the North or South (I-29)

  1. Exit east on 19th Ave. N. (Exit 67)
  2. Turn right on University Dr. N.
  3. Turn right on 15th Ave. N.
  4. Take the first left on 14th St. N.
  5. Continue south on 14th St. N. to the unloading zone. South Weible will be on your right.

From the East or West (I-94)

  1. Exit north onto I-29 North (Exit 349B)
  2. Follow the directions above.
After unloading, please park in the following lot/s: RE Lot
