Find your outdoor adventure here! The Wellness Center offers equipment available for rent to take your wellness outside. The Fargo-Moorhead area has many opportunities in both warm and cold weather to enjoy a variety of activities. Stop by the Wellness Center to learn more about renting equipment. Thanks to a Student Government Campus Projects Grant, we will be adding new equipment in the near future. For information on the availability of equipment, visit our desk during the hours we are open or email ndsu.wc.intrarec@ndsu.edu.

Equipment Rental Process

Equipment can be rented three different ways for your convenience!

  1. Stop in to the Wellness Center when Outdoor Adventures is open! We are open Monday-Friday 4:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and Sunday 3:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m..
  2. Call during our open hours at 701-231-7390.
  3. Complete the reservation form at this link.Please note requests through this form must be received at least 3 days in advance of when you would like to rent the equipment. Completing the form does not guarantee your rental and is subject to the equipment availability.

Trip to Detroit Mountain

Spend the day on the slopes at Detroit Mountain! Students will be provided with free transportation to and from Detroit Lakes with the opportunity to ski, snowboard or tube throughout the day.

Date: February 3

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (times listed are when the bus will leave and arrive back at the Wellness Center)

Cost: $5 registration fee, students will be responsible to pay for their activities and any equipment needed at Detroit Mountain. Lift Ticket: $42, Ski or Snowboard Rental: $32, 2 Hour Tubing Pass: $27.

Location: Detroit Mountain in Detroit Lakes, MN

Due to warm weather conditions, the Cross Country Ski Trip has been canceled for 2024. 

Join us in the great outdoors for a hike at the North Country Trail! Transportation to and from the trail will be provided. 

Date: April 27

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. 

Cost: $10 (transportation only)
