  • a.k.a The "Tornado Guy"
  • In his spare time: Talks to 1st graders in the area about why the Red River floods.
  • Why: "We all have a fear of the unknown when it comes to a potential spring flood, but imagine being six years old and not really understanding what a flood is, let alone what it might do to your house. Our kids are exposed to the news and events in our area, but without much understanding, many have fears of flooding."
  • How he keeps their attention? Amazing what a bucket of snow, some matchbox cars and overflowing beakers and can do, and teach.
  • What the kids think? He makes floods not so scary.
