NDSU Carrington, Williston Research Extension Centers to hold virtual field days

SHARE

NDSU’s Carrington and Williston Research Extension Centers swill hold annual agronomy field days virtually because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Producers and others can view the center researchers' work by watching short prerecorded videos shot on location. For the Williston center, the videos will be available starting July 8 and prerecorded videos on agronomy at the Carrington center will go live July 14.

"This format will allow us to meet the objectives of our field day by providing updates on the center's crop production research and recommendations for farmers and crop advisers," said Greg Endres, Extension cropping systems specialist at the Carrington center. "Ag audiences will be able to watch the videos at a time convenient for their schedules."

The Carrington center also is holding its beef production, horticulture and organic/sustainable agriculture field days virtually this year. The videos for those events will go live July 14 as well.

For information about the events, contact Kelly Stehr at Williston at 701-774-4315 or kelly.stehr@ndsu.edu or Carrington center crop specialists and scientists at 701-652-2951 or NDSU.Carrington.REC@ndsu.edu.
