NDSU’s seventh annual NDSU Giving Day is Tuesday, Nov. 29. The one-day, online fundraising event gives NDSU alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends of the university the opportunity to invest in and enhance the NDSU student experience. Benefactors have committed $950,000 in matches and challenges to amplify the impact of Giving Day.

“I’m looking forward to my first Giving Day at NDSU,” said NDSU President David Cook. “I encourage all alumni and friends to come together to make a difference during this special one-day event.”

Cook and his wife, Kate, have established a challenge this year to inspire others to invest in student support. According to the challenge, 150 gifts to any student success fund on Giving Day will unlock $5,000 from the Cooks to support NDSU students.

“This is our seventh Giving Day, and we’re looking forward to seeing all of Bison Nation unite in support of NDSU,” said John Glover, NDSU Foundation president and CEO. “Each year, it’s exciting to see more alumni and friends of NDSU get involved.”

Dollars raised on Giving Day benefit students across campus and support student scholarships, faculty research and programs at NDSU. In 2021, the NDSU community raised $1.7 million and secured more than 1,950 unique gifts on Giving Day.

More information about matches, challenges, and college and department priorities is available on the Giving Day website. Gifts will be accepted online from 11 p.m. CST Monday, Nov. 28, to 2 a.m. CST Wednesday, Nov. 30.

As a student-focused, land-grant, research institution, we serve our citizens.
