NSF Data Infrastructure Resources for Social Science
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has published a list of infrastructure resources created with support from the NSF Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences Directorate. You can access the list here.
NEA National Archive of Data on Arts & Culture
The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) National Archive of Data on Arts & Culture, or NADAC, is an online repository of arts-related datasets (161 to date, with 91,790 variables) that the NEA maintains at the University of Michigan’s Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR). Researchers, arts managers, and others can download and analyze the data for free, or request to deposit their own files for curation by the ICPSR team. In addition to these services, NADAC keeps a running tab of publications (1,218 so far) using the datasets.
National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH)
The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) funds projects that strengthen teaching and learning in schools and colleges, facilitate research and original scholarship, provide opportunities for lifelong learning, preserve and provide access to cultural and educational resources, and strengthen the institutional base of the humanities. For many of their funding programs, NEH program officers will read a draft proposal and provide comments ahead of the application deadline. National Science Foundation (NSF)
The National Science Foundation (NSF) Directorate for Social, Behavioral, and Economic (SBE) Sciences supports basic research on people and society. The SBE sciences focus on human behavior and social organizations and how social, economic, political, cultural, and environmental forces affect the lives of people from birth to old age and how people in turn shape those forces.
