Student Organization and Athletics International Travel

NDSU students organizations traveling abroad will need to follow the process set by the Office of Student Engagement as well as our office. Please see the following instructions for the requirements by our office.

  1. Please fill our the Group Travel Registration Form, and send it to ndsu.studyabroad@ndsu.edu at least 3 weeks prior to your departure. This form let's us know about your travel plans in general, but also gives us the information we need to order the group international health insurance for your travels.
  2. Once our office receives the form, we will then order the required international health insurance for your group. It is a very affordable rate at $1.70/day and covers much more than a standard domestic policy.
  3. We will order the insurance and send your group their insurance ID cards via so you may carry them with you on your travels. We will send the invoice to your group, in which them you can reimburse our office. Groups can feel free to make a check payable to "NDSU Study Abroad" for the full amount of the insurance.

If your organization is interested in going abroad and would like to work with a provider, please contact the Assistant Director of Study Abroad for recommendations. Our office has close relationships with many providers and we would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
