Students will examine international trade, cross-cultural management, and entrepreneurship firsthand through company visits and cultural immersion on both sides of the Mediterranean. Italy | AgriBusiness
From Farm to Fame
In this 10-day study program in Italy, you’ll explore how tradition, innovation, and smart business strategies turn regional agricultural products into world-famous foods. Travel through some of Italy’s most important agricultural regions and learn directly from producers, cooperatives, and food industry professionals. You’ll see how products like Parmigiano Reggiano, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and wine move from farms to international markets through quality certification, branding, and export strategies. You’ll examine how European Union agricultural policies, regional identity, and place-based marketing shape Italy’s globally recognized food system.
Costa Rica | Public Health
Wellness in the Wild: The Costa Rican Blue Zone Experience
This program offers an immersive, multidisciplinary experience where adventure, nature, and well-being intersect. The course explores one of the world’s five recognized Blue Zones—regions known for exceptional longevity. Through direct engagement with local residents, including conversations with Nicoyan elders, students will examine how purpose, social connection, nutrition, physical activity, and environmental context shape health across the lifespan. Experiences such as a hands-on cooking class, a visit to the Coopepilangosta Coffee Cooperative, and time at the Matambuu Indigenous Reserve provide insight into sustainable food systems, cultural traditions, and community resilience.

ABEN is offering an Agricultural Technology tour to Southern Germany. We will visit universities, agricultural manufacturers, do a farm stay, and also see some cultural sites. Learn what agriculture is like in Germany.

Market Reforms in South America
Study abroad in South America with the Challey Institute as we identify economic opportunity and human flourishing while looking at policies for market reforms in Chile.

Argentina | Agribusiness
USA and Argentina Agricultural Technology and Policy
This course compares the use of agricultural animal and crop technologies and policies between Argentina and the USA. Students will work in small groups with students in agribusiness and agronomy at the University of Buenos Aires for two days. Students will learn how the USA uses farm policy whereas Argentina has little or no such policies and how producers and agribusinesses adapt in such environments. The course integrates international marketing, trade policy, intellectual property protection, and ethical considerations within the context of agricultural policy and\technologies.

Celebrate Pride in Berlin, attend Europe's largest LGBTQIA Festival!
Visit the Schwules Museum, experience established LGBTQIA neighborhoods embedded within the vibrant and diversity of Berlin. Learn about the persecution LGBTQIA people faced during the holocaust. Visit the Holocaust Memorial and Topography of Terror Museum, experience the Brandenburg Gate, and the remains of the Berlin Wall. Foster your own sense of adventure with free time in each location to explore.
