Breakthrough Alert
Breakthrough Alerts are a short and concise 350-500 word summary of research that has been published in a journal and linked online. The Breakthrough Alert is written by faculty with the goal of making the research understandable to the general public.
Breakthrough Alerts are distributed to targeted local, state, national, and international media, posted to NDSU and College of Engineering news websites and shared on social media. An online form is available to easily guide faculty when summarizing the published research.
