NDSU’s teacher preparation programs are state approved by the ND Education Standards and Practices Board and nationally accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

Admission to the School of Education for Undergraduate Students

After being admitted to NDSU and completing EDUC 321 Introduction to Teaching, students can apply for School of Education admission. Admission into the School of Education is required before enrolling in 400/600 level professional education courses and student teaching.

Please READ and gather all required information and materials before opening the Application or Field Experience Verification form.

Application Requirements

You will be asked to enter your advisor’s name and email: Find your content area advisor's name and email

You may upload supporting documents directly in the application, including:

  • Unofficial transcript
  • ACT scores or Praxis scores
  • Screenshot of scheduled Praxis test (must include your name)

If you do not have supporting documents available at the time of submission, that's okay. You may email them later to the School of Education.

⚠️ Do not resubmit the application multiple times to add missing materials.

You are the applicant and must enter your name and email to initiate the form.

You will need to provide:

  • Description of responsibilities/age range of students
  • Location of experience(s)
  • Dates of experience(s)
  • Number of hours completed
  • Supervisor’s name and email (phone number may be included, but an email is required for the supervisor form)

You may include hours completed during EDUC 321/322. A supervisor form is not required for those hours.

⚠️ Do not submit Field Experience forms more than once.

The only exception is if you completed experiences at multiple locations with different supervisors. In that case, separate supervisor forms are required.

You are the applicant and must enter:

  • Your name and email
  • Your supervisor’s name and email

Once initiated, your supervisor completes all remaining sections. There is nothing further for you to do.

⚠️ Do not submit Field Experience forms more than once.

The only exception is if you completed experiences at multiple locations with different supervisors. In that case, separate supervisor forms are required.
