YuJa released an update to the Recording Station (desktop application) which allows for faster uploading of recordings and includes 15+ smaller improvements and fixes.

The NDSU IT Division recommends all users (including students) uninstall the YuJa Software Station application and install the new YuJa Software Capture application before recording a new video using YuJa or taking an exam requiring YuJa proctoring.

To install YuJa Software Capture:
Open any course in Blackboard
Select Tools > YuJa – NDSU
Select Create Recording > Download and install

In the new application, you’ll notice these changes:

1. App name changed from Software Station to Software Capture
2. Larger, more visible action buttons for key actions – matches the recently released Apple user interface
3. The default location for recordings changed from the “Default Collection” folder to the top-level Media Collection folder
4. The message after a recording is complete displays the recording’s location
