Undergraduate Student Advising
All College of Business undergraduate students are assigned a professional advisor, who will serve as the primary contact for academics. The first letter of a student's last name determines the advisor to whom they are assigned.

Transitioning from Pre-Major to Major
Students are eligible for admission into their intended College of Business major program once they have completed ECON 201 or 202, PSYC 111 or SOC 110, ENGL 120, COMM 110, and MATH 144 - and they have a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA (or they have completed all of those courses or their equivalents but it is their first semester at NDSU).
No action is required to accept admission into your College of Business major. As opposed to pre-majors, students admitted into their major program can enroll in 300-400 level College of Business courses, and they also are charged differential tuition.
To delay your major program admission:
- Complete the Opt Out form by the appropriate deadline.
- You will not be eligible to take 300-400 level courses in the College of Business for the semester(s) you opt out.
- You will not be charged differential tuition for the semester(s) you opt out.
If you have questions or would like to discuss course planning, please set up an appointment with your advisor.
