On-Campus Employment
How many hours can I work?
International students may work a maximum of 20 hours on-campus during the academic year. During official break periods, students may work up to full-time. If you are an NDSU employee, you much receive a pre-approval from your supervisor for overtime pay per NDSU policy 128
See specific dates regarding employment below. *Students whose program begins in the summer term are not considered to be on break during that first summer. They must be fully enrolled and are limited to working no more than 20 hours per week during that term.
J-1 students must receive authorization before working on-campus.
