Plant Science Student Earns Third Place in P2P Competition
Maria Batool, a Plant Science major at NDSU, earned Third Place and a $1,200 team scholarship in the campus Problem to Possibilities (P2P) Competition. Her project examined how increasing soil acidity affects agricultural productivity, in collaboration with Mechanical Engineering major Muhammad Muzamal Ashfaq, highlighting the importance of soil health in sustainable agriculture.
Doctoral Student Develops Innovative Approach to Alzheimer's Treatment
Matheus Belin, a doctoral student in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Avaré, São Paulo, Brazil, was recognized in the 3‑Minute Thesis Competition for his project, “A Trojan Horse Nasal Spray Against Alzheimer’s Disease,” which explores a novel approach to improving drug delivery to the brain.
Materials and Nanotechnology Student Advances Sustainable Packaging Solutions
Aditya Goyal, a doctoral student in Materials and Nanotechnology from Dehradun, India, was recognized in the 3‑Minute Thesis Competition for his project, “Beyond Plastic: Turning Waste into Packaging,” which focuses on creating sustainable packaging from waste materials.
Doctoral Student Earns Second Place at Student Research Days
Vishesh Mishra, a Doctoral student in Coatings and Polymeric Materials, earned Second Place in the Graduate Student Council Poster category during NDSU Student Research Days. His poster explored advanced coating systems designed to improve durability and large-scale ice shedding performance.
