NDSU Agriculture established this annual award to recognize innovative efforts that advance inclusive programs and initiatives, collaboration and partnerships, student success, and expanded educational access and opportunity. Eligible nominees include individuals, groups, departments or units, committees, and faculty- or staff-led initiatives that have made a significant impact through work completed or substantially advanced within the past calendar year.
Nominees must demonstrate impact in one or more of the following award criteria:
- Inclusive Programs and Policies - Designing and integrating programs, curricula, outreach opportunities and policies that promote access, opportunity, respect, and connection.
- Collaborative Opportunities and Partnerships - Expanding inclusive and collaborative opportunities and partnerships that prepare staff, faculty, and students for success in a multi-faceted and globally connected world.
- Innovative Educational and Extension Opportunities - Delivering innovative educational or Extension opportunities that enhance learning experiences for a wide range of audiences, backgrounds, abilities, locations, ages, races, ethnicities, and genders.
- Engagement of Nontraditional Agricultural Audiences - Increasing participation in programs and enrollment among students from nontraditional agricultural audiences.
Nominations may be submitted by any student, staff member, faculty member, or administrator. A review team from the Agriculture Council for Access and Opportunity (ACAO) will evaluate all nominations. To ensure a fair and impartial process, ACAO members nominated for the award will not participate in the review of nominations for this award.
