Free Adult Swim Lesson

This free introductory swim lesson is perfect for beginners who want to get comfortable in the water and see what a swim class is like. Participants will work with friendly instructors to learn basic water skills and build confidence in a supportive environment. The session also helps determine which class level is the best fit for continued lessons. This class is for beginners only.

Limited to the first 10 participants in each class - must register for a spot. Registration opens December 20 and closes January 27.

Floaty Night

Canoe Battleship

Ready for a splash-tacular showdown? Then grab your crew, jump in a canoe, and get ready to battle it out in the pool! Teams compete to keep their vessel afloat while trying to sink their opponents.

Intramural Inner Tube Water Polo

Channel your inner Olympian using inner tubes and try out water polo! This Intramural Tournament is a fun way to get in the pool and unleash your competitive side.

Scuba

Get your scuba certification with the Wellness Center and Mick's Scuba. This is a six-week, non-credit course meeting on Tuesdays, starting March 24.

Sunday Family Swim

Bring the kids for a fun Sunday afternoon at the pool!

Dates: Jan. 25, Feb. 8, Feb. 22, March 22, April 26, May 3

Time: 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Cost:

Members: FREE, $2 for any accompanying children and non-member adults
Non-members: All children and adults $4 (available for membership-eligible NDSU faculty, staff, alumni)

Adult Swim Lessons

This adult group swim class is for the novice to advanced swimmer who wants to learn the basics of swimming and basic water survival while gaining comfort in the water. No swimming experience necessary. Must have goggles and proper swimwear to participate. Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday.

Level 1 Beginner (5:30 - 6:15 p.m.) - Learn the basics of swimming. Designed for people with no pool experience.

Level 2 Beginner (6:20 - 7:05 p.m.) - Designed for people with limited pool experience or have completed Level 1.

Intermediate (7:10 - 7:55 p.m.) - Designed for people who want to progress by swimming faster and further and builds off what is taught in Level 2.

Cost: $45 - Student/ $60 - Member

Fall Semester:

Session 1: Feb. 3 - Feb. 19

Session 2: April 7 - April 23

Limited to the first 5 participants per class - must register for a spot. Registration closes 4 days prior to the start date.

Open Log Rolling

Roll with us Thursday nights! The goal is simple: Stay on the log longer than the other person.

Thursday evenings during the academic year

Time: 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Sunrise and Night Swim

Sunrise Swim: Enjoy your morning workout in aquatics without all the bright lights. The overhead lighting will be reduced and the underwater lighting will be turned on. Tuesdays and Thursdays: 6:00 - 8:00 a.m - during the academic year

Night Swim: Relax at the end of the day in aquatics. The overhead lighting will be turned down and the underwater lighting and fire pit will be turned on. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday Nights: 9:00 - 10:30 p.m. - during the academic year

Swim Academy

Red Cross Learn-to-Swim courses offered through the NDSU Swim Academy are designed to provide children and young teens with a positive, developmentally appropriate aquatic learning experience. Each class is filled with fun, engaging and challenging activities that motivate participants to want to perform and learn how to swim.

50 Mile Swim

Take a walk back to aquatics and get ready to do some laps! The 50 Mile Swim is open to all swim strokes, and you have all semester to reach the finish line. This Wellness Center Challenge will have you swimming 1,760 laps total. Can you do it? All distances will be recorded on the 50 Mile Swim log sheet located in the lap pool area.

*Challenge resets every semester. Miles do not carry over.
