NDSU Dining

Employment Information

Will you need a part time job while attending NDSU? Apply now to work with our dining team at one of our various locations.

Our mission is to employ students, provide an excellent salary, convenient hours and the safety and security of working next door to where you live. Our student employees could become a Barista at the Union Coffee Shop or a Cook's Assistant helping prep meals in a Dining Center, maybe both.

Prior to the start of fall term, we'll be hiring our new student employees. We're extremely convenient, offer excellent wages and most importantly, we have the same mission as NDSU - to facilitate your success as a student. We assign work schedules around classes and completely reschedule during finals week to accommodate for exams. Working for us will provide you with a discounted meal for each shift you work and it is a nice supplement to the meal plan.

We have an ongoing training program that rewards students with a pay increase after each semester worked. We also offer Student Supervisor and Student Manager positions for those who display responsibility and leadership skills. In addition, there is a $200.00 per semester tuition grant available to students that work for NDSU Dining.

If you are interested in becoming a student employee for NDSU Dining, fill out an application and drop it off at the location that you would like to work at. We'll review all applications and notify you whether or not you've been selected to be a team member.

Paperwork must be completed prior to the start of your training. To complete the paperwork for hiring, United States citizens will need to bring a drivers license or state identification card, passport, birth certificate and a Social Security Card. International Students will need to fill out paperwork for the location they will be working at and also bring a passport or Resident Alien Card, Form I-20, Form I-94 and a Social Security Card to the payroll office. All of these must be the original documents.
