Red Cross Learn-to-Swim courses offered through the NDSU Swim Academy are designed to provide children and young teens with a positive, developmentally appropriate aquatic learning experience. Each class is filled with fun, engaging and challenging activities that motivate participants to want to perform and learn how to swim.
Classes are held on Saturdays for six weeks. All instructors are WSI certified and each class runs 30 minutes. Parent/Baby, Parent/Child, and levels 4-6 have a student/teacher ratio of 6:1, and Preschool levels 1-2 and levels 1-3 have a student/teacher ratio of 4:1.

Aquatic Facility
Aquatics at the NDSU Wellness Center opened in the fall of 2016. Students voted for the project in 2013, adding $29.16/semester to the wellness fee for construction. An additional $27.12 was added to the wellness fee in 2016 to support the operations of the facility.
