In the 4-H Leadership project, you can learn leadership skills like communication, problem solving, decision-making, planning and more. You will develop the qualities necessary to work with others and accomplish goals. There are many ways to serve as a leader in 4-H such as: club officers, county 4-H Ambassador, State 4-H Ambassador, teen leaders, leading club activities, planning service and other events and more!

OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPLORE:
  • Apply to be a camp counselor
  • Join a local board or service organization.
  • Join a school club and take a leadership role.
  • Volunteer to lead a club project or help you county office during the fair.
  • Apply to be a county or state 4-H ambassador.
  • Schedule a visit with North Dakota State University at www.ndsu.edu and explore majors in the area of political science, business administration, teaching, or public service administration in agriculture or community and regional planning?
CAREERS:

There are many careers that you can explore in leadership! You could be a business manager, a supervisor, director of operations or a brand manager for any type of career or job that interests you. You could also become a leader in other ways such as volunteering on a local board, becoming mayor of your town or working in government.
