Build a Model Wind Turbine

Using simple supplies from around the house, make a miniature model of a wind turbine. Using a fan, see if the blades can be made to spin to simulate wind power.

• Paper towel dowel

• Craft sticks

• Cardboard or heavy paper

• Wooden pencils

• Fan

• Any other items that can be used to build a model tower

Design a wind turbine model, and then using common household items build the prototype. Using the fan, see if the blades turn. Make adjustments as needed to build the most efficient turbine.
