• Clear plastic tray

Go on a bug hunt around the neighborhood. Look around trees, under rocks and in plant material. Using the magnifying glass examine the insects that are found and record their features. Measurements can also be taken by carefully picking up the insect with a tweezer and placing it in the container to measure size. Photos can also be taken to compare to a field guide.
