4-H Leadership Project

• Assist in hosting a 4-H club activity.
• Help a new member learn the pledge
• Give a demonstration at a club meeting to teach others what you know
• Make a to-do list and prioritize it. Select one item and write a personal goal for it including what, how, when

• Run for a 4-H club office.
• Teach a lesson at a club meeting from Take 10 Leadership
• Attend your county’s 4-H council meeting and become a youth member
• Attend the NDSU Extension Youth Conference
• Practice interviewing with an adult

• Mentor younger members to become club officers and use correct parliamentary procedure
• Run to become a state 4-H ambassador
• Apply to attend a National Leadership Opportunity: National 4-H Congress, National 4-H Conference, or Citizen Washington Focus

Plan, organize and carry out a service project that you are passionate about, Work through the “Leadership Skills You Never Outgrow” series on 4-H.org and share your work with a trusted adult.

Give a presentation on parliamentary procedure, create a club newsletter or social media page, submit an article to your local newspaper celebrating National 4-H week

Take your “spark” and create a business around it, help your club raise funds for a special project, Create a series of workshops teaching other 4-H’ers a project skill; video tape and research the best way to share them with others.

Create a video to promote 4-H, your club or fair, Research various web-based organization tools (Excel, Trello, Asana….) and use one to organize your clubs’ meetings and events.
